Careers: Host Driver Engineer

		Host Driver Engineer Beceem is looking for a host driver engineer with experience in networking device drivers, especially USB drivers for Windows, MAC and Linux. The candidate will also need exposure to applications/API and optionally wireless security and VoIP. The candidate will be required to multi-task and take on responsibility in a proactive manner. This is a customer facing position and will require communication with customers and occasional travel to solve field problems. Required Experience, Skills and Training BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science 8+ years experience development and delivery of wireless networking device driver products (product life cycle Prefer both—must have at least one of the following: - Excellent knowledge of Windows drivers, Windows Kernak debugging (WinDbg) - Excellent knowledge of Linux drivers, Linux Kernel and User level debugging Prefer both—must have at least one of the following: - Intimate knowledge of USB device enumeration, power management, USB-IF certification and WHQL - Intimate knowledge of SDIO device initialization, performance and embedded platform dependencies Experience in API and user applications such as connection management Knowledge of WiMAX, WiFi or 3G technologies a strong plus Experience in wireless security/authentication protocols and VoIP is a strong plus Knowledge of MAC OS is a strong plus Excellent oral and written communication skills Company Overview Beceem Communications Inc. is the leading provider of mobile WiMAX semiconductors with proven over-the-air data speeds exceeding 30 Mbps and hand-off times below 50ms.
