Beceem Communications' WiMAX Chipset Selected by SANYO Electric
BCS200 Chipset Powers SANYO's Entry into mobile WiMAX Market
Santa Clara, Calif., March 20, 2007 -
Beceem Communications, a leading provider of chipsets for
Mobile WiMAX technology, today announced that SANYO Electric Co., Ltd.
(SANYO) has chosen Beceem's BCS200 chipset as the foundation for its
entry into the mobile WiMAX (802.16e) handset market. SANYO will use
the BCS200 chipset and systems software in the development of a dual-mode
CDMA/WiMAX mobile phone with wave 2 functionality.

handsets, which includes a small footprint and low power consumption.
