Beceem Communications Receives
Investments From Docomo Capital
San Jose, CA, April 11, 2006 -
Beceem Communications, a leading provider
of chipsets for Mobile WiMAX technology,
today announced that it has received an investment
from DoCoMo Capital, the venture capital
investment arm of NTT DoCoMo. The two companies
will collaborate to evaluate the performance
of Mobile WiMAX and its suitability as a
wireless broadband solution.

of one of the world's leading wireless operators,

Beceem has been a key contributor to the
IEEE 802.16e standards effort and has also
been instrumental in defining the Mobile
WiMAX profile for the WiMAX ForumT. The company
has demonstrated its prototype chipsets to
leading telecom equipment manufacturers that
are developing and deploying Mobile WiMAX
solutions, and has announced commercial availability
of its Mobile WiMAX terminal chipset.
