The new dual-mode dongle will be the third generation of C-motech dual-mode products based on Beceem’s 4G-WiMAX semiconductor solutions. The BCSM350 offers session continuity and connection handover, which is typically viewed as the second most important user feature behind high performance. The BCSM350 combines its “Twin Turbo” uplink capability with seamless session continuity for the 4G-to-3G handover, which enables C motech to deliver a highly advanced multi-mode modem solution. “C-motech has developed and launched the original 4G-WiMAX/3G-EvDO dual-mode product, and -- in working with C-motech -- we have built key know how when it comes to improving the user experience during handoff between the 4G and 3G networks.
