Beceem Communications Continues Ecosystem Leadership at 4G-WiMAX World USA

Beceem's Chipset powers new Mobile 4G-WiMAX products from ZTE and Accton, and a mobility demonstration from Motorola

Boston, MA, October 11, 2006 - Beceem Communications (www.beceem.com) today announced key product and development relationships that are accelerating trials and deployments of Mobile 4G-WiMAX networks around the world. Activities revealed at the 4G-WiMAX World USA show include:

The launch of China's first Mobile 4G-WiMAX solution by ZTE using Beceem's MS120 chipset and a joint development relationship with ZTE. ZTE is China's leading global wireless equipment provider and system integrator.
The launch of a low-cost Wireless Broadband modem that is using Beceem's MS120 chipset. Accton is one of Taiwan's leading ODMs and the global premier provider of networking and communications equipment.
A live mobility hand-off demonstration between Motorola's 4G-WiMAX infrastructure and a Beceem chipset/PC card, underscoring how well mobile 4G-WiMAX performs when combining broadband speeds with seamless mobility.
