In 2005, Beceem was the first to market with a pre-WiMAX chipset called MS100, and followed that success with the first mobile WiMAX wave1 (released January 2006 and the first Wave1 to be certified) and Wave2 (released December 2006) Mobile WiMAX chipsets. Beceem has been one of a small set of companies that have participated in mobile WiMAX Plugfests since its inception. Our chipsets cover all profiles and all bands, including dual band radios.

Channel estimation is important so that the system can always operate at peak efficiency.
